Model Book
ink on paper
Nepal, 19th cent.
size: 74,5 x 20,7 cm.
Very interesting, incomplete modelbook for a painter, in leporello-form. Most of the deities are Buddhist, but there is also a drawing of Krishna Kalyadamana, a faithful rendering of the famous 7th century sculpture in the former Royal Palace on Hanuman Dhoka, Kathmandu. The drawings are by at least two different hands.
