Padmasambhava as monk (?)
paint and gold on textile
Mongolia, early 20th cent.
10 x 7,5 cm.
Most probably this depicts Padmasambhava, as he appeared when he came to Tibet, in the 8th century: as a monk, making magic gestures, with a stack of books behind hem and at other right a monk in adoration.
Below red Kurukula and the Protector of the Tibetan Oracle, Pehar, riding on a snowlion.
No inscriptions on the back.
